Course Overview
A Fellowship in Spinal Cord Medicine offers specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries and disorders. The program focuses on comprehensive care for conditions such as traumatic spinal cord injury, spinal tumors, degenerative diseases, and congenital spinal disorders. Fellows gain expertise in both medical and rehabilitative approaches, helping patients manage pain, improve mobility, and regain independence.
What you’ll learn
- Expertise in diagnosing and managing various subtypes of JIA, including systemic, oligoarticular, and polyarticular forms.
- Training in managing the complications of spinal cord injuries, such as neurogenic bladder and bowel dysfunction.
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating pain related to spinal cord injuries through pharmacologic, physical, and interventional techniques.
- Skills in developing rehabilitation plans to improve mobility, strength, and daily functioning for patients with spinal cord disorders.
- Experience with advanced assistive devices such as wheelchairs, exoskeletons, and neuroprosthetics to enhance patient mobility and independence.
- Training in treating non-traumatic spinal cord disorders such as multiple sclerosis, spinal tumors, and degenerative conditions.
Eligibilty & Requirement
- MBBS/ MD/ MS/ DNB
- No previous experience is needed.
