Course Overview
A Fellowship in Robotic Surgery provides advanced training in minimally invasive surgical techniques using robotic technology. The program covers robotic-assisted procedures in various specialties such as urology, gynecology, general surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery. Fellows gain hands-on experience in mastering robotic systems, improving precision, reducing patient recovery time, and enhancing surgical outcomes in complex procedures.
What you’ll learn
- Mastery in identifying risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and family history to stratify patients’ cardiovascular risk.
- Proficiency in operating robotic systems such as the Da Vinci Surgical System, including console navigation, instrument handling, and real-time problem-solving.
- Expertise in performing complex surgeries through small incisions, reducing patient recovery time, pain, and complications.
- Skills in precise robotic suturing and tissue manipulation for delicate and intricate surgical tasks.
- Training in patient selection criteria and preoperative planning for robotic surgeries to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Techniques for managing complications and technical challenges that may arise during robotic surgery.
- Exposure to a variety of robotic surgeries including prostatectomies, hysterectomies, cardiac surgeries, and colorectal procedures.

- MD/DNB (Medicine) DM Cardiology / DNB Cardiology
- No previous experience is needed.
