Course Overview
A Fellowship in Pain Management offers specialized training in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions. The program covers a wide range of pain management techniques, including interventional procedures, pharmacologic therapies, and multidisciplinary approaches to improve patient quality of life. Fellows gain hands-on experience with advanced treatments such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and neuromodulation, preparing them to become experts in managing complex pain syndromes.
What you’ll learn
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and arthritis.
- Mastery of interventional techniques including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation.
- Training in the use of pain medications such as opioids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), muscle relaxants, and adjuvant therapies.
- Skills in developing comprehensive treatment plans that include physical therapy, psychological support, and lifestyle modifications.
- Proficiency in advanced neuromodulation techniques to manage chronic pain by altering nerve signals
- Experience in managing cancer-related pain, utilizing both pharmacologic and interventional approaches to improve patient comfort.
Eligibilty & Requirement
- MBBS/ MD/ MS/ DGO/ DNB/ Equivalent
- No previous experience is needed.
