Course Overview
A Fellowship in Orthopedics provides specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, and sports injuries. The program focuses on both surgical and non-surgical approaches to orthopedic care, covering trauma, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and spine surgeries. Fellows gain hands-on experience in advanced orthopedic techniques, preparing them for leadership roles in orthopedic surgery and patient care.
What you’ll learn
- Mastery of techniques for reducing and fixing fractures using both surgical and non-surgical approaches, including casting, internal fixation, and external fixation.
- Skills in performing hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasties, as well as revision surgeries for failed joint replacements.
- Expertise in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques for diagnosing and treating joint injuries, including ligament repairs and meniscus surgeries.
- Training in spinal procedures such as decompression, fusion, and the management of disc herniations and spinal trauma.
- Understanding the unique orthopedic conditions and treatment approaches for pediatric patients, including congenital deformities and growth-related issues.
- Proficiency in managing orthopedic trauma cases, including multi-system injuries, open fractures, and polytrauma.
- Skills in diagnosing and treating infections involving bones, joints, and soft tissues.
- Exposure to the diagnosis and management of bone tumors and metastatic diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system.
Eligibilty & Requirement
- MBBS/ MD/ MS/ DGO/ DNB/ Equivalent
- No previous experience is needed.
