Course Overview
A Fellowship in Neuroradiology offers advanced training in the imaging and diagnosis of brain, spine, head, and neck disorders. The program emphasizes the use of cutting-edge imaging technologies such as MRI, CT, and angiography to diagnose neurological conditions, including strokes, tumors, vascular malformations, and degenerative diseases. Fellows gain hands-on experience in interpreting complex neuroradiological images and performing minimally invasive image-guided procedures.
What you’ll learn
- Mastery of MRI, CT, and PET imaging for diagnosing neurological conditions affecting the brain, spine, and head and neck.
- Expertise in identifying acute strokes, aneurysms, and vascular malformations using advanced neuroimaging modalities like CT and MR angiography.
- Skills in detecting and evaluating brain, spinal, and head and neck tumors, as well as post-treatment monitoring using specialized imaging protocols.
- Training in imaging and diagnosing degenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and spinal cord disorders.
- Proficiency in performing minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies, spinal injections, and endovascular treatments using real-time imaging.
- Exposure to the unique aspects of pediatric neuroimaging, including congenital abnormalities and developmental brain disorders.
- Expertise in diagnosing traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries in emergency settings using rapid imaging techniques.
